About the Client
UniteQ has entered a new, demanding market of gas loading and unloading systems for maritime transport. Our German client operates globally, and this first project was for an end user in Qatar.

Business Problem
The client needed a fully integrated and certified hydraulic system that they could incorporate into their loading arm. The PLC control system needed to operate not only the hydraulic power unit but also the loading arm itself.

The Challenge
To develop and produce a high-quality and highly certified system that perfectly matched the client’s needs. The project involved strict ATEX and SIL certifications, extensive documentation, and the integration of both mechanical and electronic systems within a highly regulated environment. The system had to be reliable, safe, and fully compliant—down to every component.

Our Solution
UniteQ developed a hydraulic power unit with an integrated hydraulic and electrical control system, meeting all strict requirements and certifications. Except for the electrical cabinets, which had to be produced externally due to the strict ATEX requirements, everything was produced in-house. This also included the client-specific four-layer coating (on stainless steel) necessary for the aggressive environment. The product was accompanied by more than 40 documents to record and clarify all specifications.
